ABOUT BELLINGHAM AERO

Fueled by a long-time passion for flying, Fred Knutzen founded Bellingham Aero in 2002 with the goal of spreading his love of aviation.  He obtained his private pilot’s license as a young man, and has been teaching friends and family members to fly ever since.   He logged hundreds of hours flying above the beautiful landscapes of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.

Bellingham Aero has strived to establish itself as a friendly, affordable flight school.  After nearly 10 years of business and becoming a Cessna Pilot Center, we have continued to maintain this persona.  Welcoming a diverse group of students, hundred's have completed solo flights and obtained their pilot certificates, and many have gone on to pursue their instrument,  instructor or commercial pilot certifications.
